關於生日、關於年紀
Graham Sutherland授命為邱吉爾作畫，那是英國國會贈送給邱吉爾八十大壽的賀禮，Sutherland畫風以寫實著稱，他的作品沒有展現邱吉爾果敢威武的形象，反而是老態龍鍾、精神不佳。邱吉爾本人和太太據說都不喜歡，在連續劇Crown裡也有演到Sutherland為自己的作品辯護，他說，Age is cruel! If you see decay, it’s because there’s decay. If you see frailty, it’s because there’s frailty. I can’t be blamed for what is, and I refuse to hide and disguise what I see. If you are engaged in a fight with something, then it’s not with me. It’s with your own blindness.
